EPOS SYSTEMS FOR UK HOSPITALITY AND LEISURE
EPOS systems for sales, bookings and venue operations
Build your EPOS setup around the work your venue needs to do. Bring together the relevant software, compatible equipment and payment arrangements, with booking and arrival tools where they fit your operation.
Your proposed system is a configured combination, not a fixed bundle. Modules, equipment, integrations and services are confirmed in your quotation.
WHAT MAKES UP THE SYSTEM
Choose the software, equipment and connections together
An EPOS system combines the software used to handle transactions with the equipment and services that support it. The right setup depends on how customers buy and how your team works.
EPOS software
Start with the relevant product, customer and order workflows. Explore optional functions such as table management, stock, memberships and reporting without assuming every module is included.
Hardware
Select terminals and peripherals for the working position. Confirm exact models, included components and compatibility before choosing equipment.
Activity bookings
Add configured activity and session booking journeys where your venue needs them, including the applicable customer, capacity and checkout requirements.
Payment arrangements
Confirm the payment route for each customer journey. Integrated processing, externally recorded payments and membership billing have different requirements.
SEE THE RELEVANT JOURNEYS
Look beyond the till to the tasks around the visit
The following demonstrations show different parts of the software. Each journey has its own configuration; showing them together does not mean every setup includes all three.

Activity booking
Customers can choose an activity and an available session through the configured booking journey. Attendee choices, capacity, payment and waiver requirements depend on the activity setup.

Booking check-in
A configured kiosk can provide a customer-facing booking check-in point. Staff check-in is a separate workflow with its own access and eligibility rules.

Kiosk ordering
A kiosk can offer a configured product-ordering journey. Confirm its checkout, payment equipment and staff handover before deciding how it will operate in your venue.
START WITH YOUR BUSINESS
Match the system to the way your venue operates
Hospitality
Start with counter or table service, then identify the order handling, kitchen, payment and equipment requirements relevant to the venue.
Leisure and activity venues
Start with activity bookings and arrivals, then consider on-site sales and other configured functions needed during the visit.
A venue with several kinds of service may need more than one workflow. Demonstrate how each task is handled rather than assuming every function connects in the same way.
PLAN THE WORKING POSITIONS
Choose hardware around the job it needs to do
A counter till, customer kiosk and payment terminal serve different purposes. Plan the working space, connections and customer interaction for each position.
If you already have equipment, check compatibility individually. A device’s appearance or use with another system does not establish that it will work with the proposed setup.
COMPARE THE COMPLETE PROPOSAL
Understand what the quotation includes
Compare proposals using the same scope. Identify the software, equipment, payment arrangements and services you need, then confirm what is included and what is optional.
Software and modules
Confirm the required functions, access and any plan or location dependencies.
Equipment and connections
List exact models, peripherals, connectors and any equipment to be reused.
Payment arrangements
Obtain the applicable provider terms, fees and settlement arrangements. Confirm refund handling for the proposed payment journeys.
Setup and ongoing service
Confirm which installation, training, support and warranty arrangements are offered and obtain their terms in writing.
TEST THE PROPOSED SETUP
Use your own working scenarios in the demonstration
Describe the customer task
Explain what the customer is buying or booking and where the interaction takes place.
Follow the staff workflow
Walk through the relevant order, booking or arrival steps and identify which modules and devices are involved.
Check the outcome and exceptions
Review the recorded result and ask how staff handle a failed payment, a booking that is not ready to check in or another issue relevant to your operation.
Only include split bills, deposits, shared-location functions or other specialist scenarios in the proposed offer after their exact workflow has been demonstrated.
FURTHER BUYING GUIDANCE

Use the buying guide to organise your comparison, then confirm the details against the actual configuration and quotation proposed for your venue.
QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
EPOS system questions
What is included in an EPOS Bookings system?
The proposed setup combines the software, equipment and services agreed for your venue. It is not a fixed bundle containing every module or every item shown on the website.
Can the system include activity bookings as well as sales?
Configured activity-booking functions are available alongside relevant sales workflows. Confirm the modules, customer requirements and connections needed for your operation.
Can I keep my existing hardware or payment provider?
Compatibility must be checked for the exact equipment, connector and provider setup. Existing use with another system does not establish compatibility.
How should I compare the total cost?
Compare the same software scope, equipment list, payment arrangements and service requirements. Confirm inclusions, optional items and provider terms in the quotation rather than relying on a headline price alone.
