CUSTOMER-VISIBLE POS INFORMATION
Customer-Facing POS Displays
The configured customer-display function publishes POS cart or order information to a compatible enrolled display. Confirm the device, connector and information shown before choosing the setup for your checkout.
A compatible enrolled device, device connector and POS cart are required. Exact hardware availability and display behaviour must be confirmed.
Confirm the three parts of the connection
Compatible display
Identify the exact device proposed for the customer view. Do not assume a staff monitor, secondary screen or display pictured in a hardware assembly is compatible.
Enrolment and connector
The function requires an enrolled display and device connector. Demonstrate the connection with the proposed equipment rather than relying on appearance or model category.
POS cart or order
The supported function publishes cart or order information. Confirm which information appears and how it relates to the staff checkout workflow.
See the actual customer view before selecting equipment
Ask to see the screen during a representative transaction. Confirm the fields displayed, how changes reach the screen and what happens when the transaction ends.
Also check idle behaviour and the response to a disconnected device. Do not assume that the screen automatically clears, shows payment confirmation or hides particular customer details without observing the configured behaviour.
A customer display has a different role from a kiosk or terminal
Publishing POS information does not establish customer ordering, payment acceptance or an interactive checkout. Those functions require their own supported equipment and workflow.
Promotional messages, loyalty enrolment and general digital signage are not established by the customer-display function described here.
Include the display requirements in your proposed checkout
Equipment and placement
Confirm the model, mounting or placement, power requirements and included accessories. Do not assume a separate or built-in screen is part of a standard package.
Connection and content
Demonstrate enrolment, the connector and the cart or order information shown during use.
Transaction end and interruptions
Check what remains visible after the transaction and how staff handle a lost connection or reset.
Customer-facing display questions
What does the supported display function do?
It publishes POS cart or order information to a compatible enrolled customer display through the required connector. The exact fields and behaviour need to be confirmed in a demonstration.
Can I use any monitor or a terminal’s second screen?
Compatibility is not established for every monitor or secondary screen. Confirm the exact proposed device and connection before purchasing equipment.
Can customers order or pay through the display?
Customer interaction, ordering and payment acceptance are not established by this information-display function. Those requirements need a separate demonstrated workflow.
Does the display show promotions or clear automatically after a sale?
Promotional content and automatic clearing are not confirmed by the available evidence. Ask to see the idle, transaction-end and reset behaviour of the proposed setup.
Demonstrate the customer view alongside your till
Tell us what customers need to see at checkout and what equipment you already use. We’ll review the display requirements and confirm the proposed device, connection and behaviour.
