CUSTOMER TABLE ORDERING

QR Code Table Ordering Software

Give customers a browser-based way to browse products, choose quantities and submit an order linked to their table. Configure online payment or allow orders without immediate payment to match the service options enabled for your venue.

QR ordering requires an active table link and an enabled setup. Customers provide an email address at checkout; payment options depend on configuration.

FROM TABLE TO ORDER

A straightforward way to order from the table

Customers open the ordering page through an active table QR code. The page identifies the location and table, connecting the order to the right place.

1

Open the table’s ordering page

Scan the table QR code to open the browser-based ordering page. QR ordering must be enabled, and the table link must be active.

2

Browse products

Explore product categories and the products available through the location’s ordering setup, with prices shown before checkout.

3

Build the basket

Add products, adjust quantities and review the selection. Customers can also include an order note.

4

Continue to checkout

Enter an email address, then use the checkout option available for that venue. Online payment and ordering without immediate payment depend on configuration.

PRODUCTS AND ORDER DETAILS

Use your product catalog for table ordering

QR ordering draws on the shared product catalog and location-specific stock information. Customers browse categories and select products through the table’s ordering page.

Products and prices

Present the categories, products and prices returned by the ordering configuration for that location.

Basket quantities

Customers can increase or decrease quantities before submitting. For stock-controlled products, quantity increases are limited by the inventory returned to the ordering page.

Order notes

Customers can add a note to their order. Notes do not replace a conversation with staff about allergies or other requirements that need confirmation.

CHECKOUT OPTIONS

Choose the checkout setup for your service

The customer enters an email address before continuing. The available action depends on how table ordering and payments are configured for your venue.

Pay online

Where configured, customers can continue to Worldpay’s online checkout. Completion of a paid order depends on the payment result; selecting Pay is not itself confirmation of successful payment.

Place an order without immediate payment

Where this option is enabled, customers can submit an order without paying online at that point. Your team needs a clear process for collecting the balance.

Confirm the checkout options and payment arrangements you need during your demonstration. Ordering without immediate payment is not enabled for every setup.

AFTER SUBMISSION

Bring table orders into your service workflow

A submitted QR order creates a new table-linked sale. Staff with the relevant permissions can access orders through the POS workflow.

Staff order handling

Establish who reviews incoming orders and how your team handles service and outstanding payments. QR ordering does not automatically combine a new submission with an existing table bill.

Kitchen display options

At locations with kitchen display functionality enabled, eligible preparation items can be routed to the kitchen display. Routing depends on the location and product setup.

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

QR code table ordering questions

How does QR code table ordering work?

Customers scan an active table QR code to open the ordering page in their browser. They browse products, choose quantities and continue to checkout, where an email address is required. Available payment and order-submission options depend on the venue’s configuration.

Do customers need to download an app?

The QR ordering journey described here runs in a browser, without a separate app download. Customers are asked for an email address at checkout.

Can customers order without paying online?

Yes, when ordering without immediate payment is enabled for the venue. Otherwise, customers use the configured online payment option. Confirm how your team will collect any outstanding balance before offering this service.

Does another order join the customer’s existing bill?

Each submitted QR order creates a new table-linked sale. Automatic merging with an existing table order or bill is not part of the workflow described here.

Can QR orders appear on a kitchen display?

Eligible preparation items can be routed to a kitchen display at locations where that functionality is enabled. The relevant location and product configuration must be in place.

Can customers add special requests?

Customers can include an order note. A note does not guarantee that a request can be fulfilled and should not replace direct confirmation with staff about allergies or other essential requirements.
