SHOPS AND SALES COUNTERS WITHIN YOUR VENUE
Venue Retail & Merchandise POS
Set up product sales alongside your venue’s other activities. Use the supported catalog, checkout and stock functions for a gift shop or merchandise counter, with equipment and payment arrangements confirmed for your operation.
This page focuses on retail sales within a venue. Specialist retail functions and connections need separate confirmation.

AT THE SALES COUNTER
Connect product selection with the order and payment
Find the product
Staff select items from the configured catalog. Supported USB barcode input can assist product selection where the required product and scanner setup is in place.
Review the order
Use customer lookup and the supported order queue where relevant. Changes to an existing order depend on its state and the available action.
Complete checkout
Use the payment methods and receipt functions configured for the counter. Confirm whether each payment method processes a transaction through an integration or records payment taken elsewhere.
PRODUCT SETUP
Maintain the records behind the items you sell
Product identification
Maintain stock codes or SKUs, descriptions and categories so staff can find the relevant item.
Prices and tax
Configure the applicable product pricing and tax fields. Confirm how these settings apply to the transactions and receipts your shop requires.
Stocked quantities
Use stocked-product records for inventory quantities. Confirm how each sellable item should be represented rather than assuming a size-and-color variant matrix is available.
A merchandise example with different sizes or colors needs a demonstrated product setup. Do not assume that a product name alone provides linked variants, shared stock or automatic option selection.
TWO DIFFERENT SCANNING TASKS
Distinguish selling an item from adding stock
Scanning during a sale
Supported USB barcode input can be used in the sales workflow. Confirm product identification and the behaviour of the proposed scanner.
Scanning to add inventory
A separate stock workflow supports scanning an existing stocked item to add quantity. This is not the same action as adding the item to a customer’s order.
COUNTS AND REPLENISHMENT
Review stock and receive goods through the supported process
Record reasoned adjustments, carry out stock counts and review stock movements through the available tools. Supplier records, purchase orders and goods receipt support the purchasing workflow where configured.
Confirm when sales reduce quantities and how corrections or returns affect stock. A recorded refund does not by itself prove that an item has been physically returned or restored to available inventory.
AFTER THE SALE
Keep refunds, rewards and reporting distinct
Refund handling
Eligible refunds are supported, but the staff permissions, payment-provider outcome and stock effect need to be confirmed. An exchange workflow is not established by refund functionality alone.
Loyalty points
Configure eligible points earning and redemption where supported. Confirm the qualifying products, customer requirements and channels; loyalty points do not establish gift-card functionality.
Explore loyalty softwareReports and records
Review supported payment, product and stock information using the available filters and access. Confirm the definitions and transaction states included in each report.

Choose compatible equipment for the sales position
Plan the terminal, scanner, payment device and receipt arrangements around the counter space and staff workflow. Confirm compatibility for each device, including any equipment you want to reuse.
Selling merchandise within a venue does not automatically connect the purchase to an activity booking, admission entitlement or shared customer balance. Demonstrate any connection you require.
TEST YOUR SHOP REQUIREMENTS
Bring representative products to the demonstration
Product identification
Show how items, barcodes and any size or color choices need to be represented.
Counter checkout
Demonstrate selection, order changes, payment and receipt output with the proposed equipment.
Stock and returns
Follow a count, goods receipt and any required refund or exchange scenario. Confirm the resulting stock changes.
Connections and terms
Identify any ecommerce, cross-location or accounting requirements separately. Obtain the equipment, module and service inclusions in writing.
Compare plans for your business
Review the included features and confirm any hardware or additional services required for your setup. Trials last one calendar month and require verification and approval. Review the Direct Debit setup and billing dates during registration.

Each additional location is priced separately; ask about a possible multi-location discount. Plan eligibility still depends on the relevant configured workflow and the offered setup. Appointment requirements are discussed rather than a promise of dedicated appointment booking. Confirm the customer-facing reservation journey, equipment, printer connection, paid membership billing, payment processing, support and contract terms in a written quote. Trials require verification and approval.
QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
Venue retail EPOS questions
Is this page about standalone retail shops?
This page focuses on gift shops, merchandise counters and other product sales within a venue. A broader standalone-retail setup needs its own requirements and offer review.
Can staff use a barcode scanner when selling products?
Supported USB barcode sales input is available with the relevant product and equipment setup. Scanning to add inventory is a separate stock workflow.
Can merchandise have linked size and color variants?
A linked variant matrix is not established by the product-record functions described here. Demonstrate how your actual merchandise range should be configured before relying on that capability.
Does a refund automatically restore stock?
That must be confirmed for the transaction and return workflow. A financial refund does not by itself establish physical return or restoration of a saleable item.
Are gift cards, ecommerce connections and cross-store transfers included?
Those functions are not established by the catalog, loyalty or stock records described here. Ask to see each required connection or workflow separately.
