SOFTWARE SELECTION FOR LEISURE VENUES
Recreation POS & Booking Software
Start with what customers book, how they arrive and what they buy on site. Choose the relevant activity-booking, reception and POS functions, then confirm any hire, membership or reporting requirements for your operation.
Functions depend on configuration and the proposed modules. General activity booking does not establish every sports, resource or admission-management workflow.
START WITH THE CUSTOMER TASK
Which parts of the visit do you need to manage?
Customers book an activity
Explore configured activities, session availability, attendee categories and capacity. Confirm the checkout and waiver requirements for each activity.
Explore online booking softwareVisitors arrive with a booking
Review staff booking lookup, check-in eligibility and any optional kiosk journey. Establish how staff handle bookings that are not ready to check in.
Explore venue check-in softwareCustomers buy on site
Consider staff product selection, order handling and the relevant payment arrangements for reception, café or retail sales.
Explore EPOS softwareBOOKABLE ACTIVITIES
Confirm what the booking reserves
Configured activities can use schedules, time slots, attendee categories and capacity rules. Guest capacity and booking-count limits are separate controls.
Explain whether customers are booking attendee places or reserving a particular court, lane, room or other resource. Those are different requirements: activity availability alone does not establish resource allocation.
Where a waiver is required, select the relevant template and disable guest checkout. Confirm the signing and arrival requirements for that activity.

RECEPTION AND ON-SITE PURCHASES
Plan staff sales separately from admission
Staff POS functions support product selection, customer lookup and eligible order handling. Payment methods depend on configuration and may process a transaction through an integration or record payment taken elsewhere.
Café or retail sales can coexist with bookings. They do not by themselves create a shared admission pass, combined bill or venue-wide customer balance.

ADD THE FUNCTIONS YOU NEED
Check the supporting workflows individually
Equipment rental
Configured hire supports hourly or daily rates and records for issue, return, loss or extension. Standalone hire requires a customer account; resource scheduling and overlap protection need separate confirmation.
Explore equipment rental softwareMembership benefits
Explore configured membership plans and selected discounts. Membership records do not by themselves establish access-gate operation or unlimited admission.
Explore membership managementReporting
Review supported booking, payment, product and other report areas with the available filters. Confirm definitions, permissions and location coverage for the views you need.

What is being booked?
Identify attendee places, sessions, equipment or any specific resource. Ask to see the applicable allocation rules.
What happens at arrival?
Confirm payment, waiver and timing checks, then identify any physical admission or safety procedures outside the software.
What is sold or hired on site?
Demonstrate staff sales, relevant payment methods and any equipment handover separately from booking.
What connects across the venue?
Check the actual relationship between modules, locations and customer benefits. Obtain equipment, service and commercial inclusions in writing.

Each additional location is priced separately; ask about a possible multi-location discount. Plan eligibility still depends on the relevant configured workflow and the offered setup. Appointment requirements are discussed rather than a promise of dedicated appointment booking. Confirm the customer-facing reservation journey, equipment, printer connection, paid membership billing, payment processing, support and contract terms in a written quote. Trials require verification and approval.
QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
Leisure venue software questions
Can booking and on-site sales functions be used in the same venue?
Relevant activity-booking and staff POS functions can be configured for the venue. Confirm their connections rather than assuming a shared bill, admission entitlement or customer balance.
Does activity booking include court, pitch or swimming-lane reservations?
Those resource-specific workflows are not established by generic activity scheduling. Ask to see how the exact resource is allocated and how conflicting reservations are handled.
Can members use a QR code to enter automatically?
Membership records and scannable credentials do not by themselves establish automatic admission. Demonstrate the entry entitlement and any equipment connection separately.
Can equipment be hired alongside an activity?
Configured activity-linked hire options are supported, alongside a separate standalone hire workflow. Confirm rates, issue, physical return and availability requirements for your setup.
How do I choose the right modules?
Start with customer bookings, arrival procedures and on-site transactions. Demonstrate each required task, then confirm the modules, equipment and service terms included in the proposed setup.
