EPOS FOR RESTAURANTS
Restaurant POS Systems
Build your restaurant POS setup around the journey from staff ordering to kitchen preparation and payment. Choose the relevant table, ordering and management functions, with equipment and connections confirmed for your service.
Functions depend on enabled modules, staff access and configuration. Confirm the complete order and payment journey for your proposed setup.
FROM ORDER TO PREPARATION
Connect the tasks your restaurant team handles during service
Take and manage the order
Staff can select products, find customers and work with the order queue. Updates to existing orders depend on the order’s eligibility and the supported action.

Associate the table
Use the location’s configured table layout and assign tables through the enabled POS workflow. Capacity, multiple-table selection and reservation controls depend on the table setup.

Follow kitchen preparation
Eligible preparation items can enter the kitchen queue at supported release stages. Staff can mark items Done and use the available ticket controls, including hold and completion.

This sequence describes related service tasks. It does not promise that every order source reaches the kitchen immediately or that every step happens automatically.
TABLE OPERATIONS
Keep table allocation distinct from customer reservations
Staff table controls support the restaurant’s operational layout, allocation and manual reservation handling. Confirm who updates table availability and how your team uses the available controls during service.
A customer’s online restaurant reservation is a separate journey. Demonstrate the customer booking, confirmation and staff-handling steps before relying on them; table allocation alone does not establish that complete process.
CUSTOMER TABLE ORDERING
Add QR ordering where it fits your service
A configured table QR journey lets customers browse the eligible catalog and submit a table-linked order. The table link must be active, and the available checkout options depend on the setup.
Confirm how staff receive these orders and when eligible preparation items reach the kitchen. Do not assume a new QR submission automatically joins an existing table bill.
COMPLETE THE PAYMENT WORKFLOW
Check the payment result alongside the order balance
Payment methods
Confirm which methods process payment through an integration and which record a payment taken elsewhere. Device, connector and gateway requirements vary by setup.
Outstanding balances
Order and payment records support review of balances remaining. Confirm how staff identify and collect those balances through the supported workflow.
Part payments
Part-payment functions do not by themselves establish splitting a restaurant bill by guest or item. Ask to see the exact billing scenario your team needs.
BEYOND THE SERVICE PERIOD
Review the product and transaction records behind the shift
Inventory and purchasing
Maintain stocked-product records and use supported supplier purchasing and goods-receipt functions. Product stock control does not establish recipe or ingredient costing.
Explore stock managementCustomer loyalty
Configure eligible points earning and redemption, subject to customer, product and channel rules. Confirm how loyalty applies to the restaurant purchases you want to include.
Explore loyalty softwareReporting
Review the available order, payment and product reports using the relevant periods and filters. Sales values, collected payments and cost information are different measures.

The staff order
Walk through product selection, table allocation and an eligible order update. Identify which staff permissions and modules are required.
The kitchen handover
Confirm the order source, preparation-item eligibility and release stage. Check the item and ticket controls staff will use.
The payment outcome
Demonstrate the proposed payment method, an unsuccessful or uncertain result and any billing arrangement you require.
The equipment and terms
Confirm compatible tills, kitchen equipment and payment devices, then obtain the software, equipment and service inclusions in writing.
If your operation needs handheld ordering, courses, modifiers, delivery connections or other specialist functions, include them in the demonstration request. Do not assume they are part of every restaurant EPOS setup.
COMPARE YOUR OPTIONS
Use the restaurant buying guide alongside your demonstration
Use the guide to organize your requirements and comparison questions. Confirm the final scope against the actual functions, equipment and terms proposed for your restaurant.
Compare plans for your business
Review the included features and confirm any hardware or additional services required for your setup. Trials last one calendar month and require verification and approval. Review the Direct Debit setup and billing dates during registration.

Each additional location is priced separately; ask about a possible multi-location discount. Plan eligibility still depends on the relevant configured workflow and the offered setup. Appointment requirements are discussed rather than a promise of dedicated appointment booking. Confirm the customer-facing reservation journey, equipment, printer connection, paid membership billing, payment processing, support and contract terms in a written quote. Trials require verification and approval.
QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
Restaurant EPOS questions
Can staff work with orders and tables in the restaurant POS?
Staff product selection, customer lookup and order handling are supported, with table allocation available where enabled. Confirm the permitted updates and table rules for your setup.
Will every order automatically appear in the kitchen?
No universal routing promise is made. Kitchen tickets depend on eligible preparation items, enabled locations and the supported release stage for each order source.
Can customers order from their table using a QR code?
Configured QR table ordering is supported through an active table link. Checkout, staff handling and kitchen release depend on the setup and should be demonstrated together.
Can the system split bills by guest or item?
General part-payment functions do not establish guest-by-guest or item-by-item bill splitting. Ask to see your required billing workflow before relying on it.
Does the restaurant setup include reservations, delivery integrations and ingredient costing?
Those requirements need separate confirmation. Staff table controls do not prove a complete online reservation journey, and product stock records do not establish ingredient costing. Delivery integrations are not promised by this page.
